Trail Conditions – Dec 24

A Christmas Eve gift: the trail was groomed end to end! Enjoy! Check out the updates on Nordic Pulse.

Trail Conditions – Dec 11

Work is being done near the NCC River House and the Blair boat launch. Snow cover will be less in those areas (current weather is not cooperating).

Trail Conditions – Feb 16

Finally we got fresh snow! The groomers were out this morning (Nordic Pulse live tracking) and have groomed the trail from Trim to the NCC River House.

Comments from groomers: Thin in places, shallow classic, some ice, but better than yesterday!

Reminder: tomorrow is Snow Day at Dominion City Brewing Co.! Details here.

Trail Conditions – Jan 11 – Updated

Update as of this afternoon:

Champlain to Bilberry – Trackset, fair for classic

Carinne Wilson field – groomed for student skate ski use

Fairwinds to Green’s Creek – Track set, fair to good for classic

West side – from Green’s Creek to Riverhouse – good for classic and skate

Francois Dupont loop (at Willow) – good for skate ski practice

You may see groomers out this morning on the west half of the trail (West of Green’s Creek)!

Ski to the NCC River House!

The amazing Ski Heritage East Grooming Team has made another breakthrough in offering you the best winter recreation experience in eastern Ottawa.

The Pilot Project that extended the Trail west from the Aviation Museum to the Riverhouse has been a success and will become permanent. Though secondary to the trails east of the Aviation Museum, the extension of the trails from the Aviation Museum to the New Edinburgh Riverhouse will be groomed as frequently as our capabilities permit.
